“P.RAMLEE THE MUSICAL…THE LIFE, THE LOVES AND THE INSPIRATION”
The journey for Enfiniti began with the highly successful Puteri Gunung Ledang movie directed by Saw Teong Hin. The movie won numerous local and international awards including best director, best screenplay, best art direction, best cinematography, best actress and best producer. The movie was subsequently made into a stage musical, and Puteri Gunung Ledang The Musical has since then changed the landscape of the arts industry in Malaysia, breaking all- time records for ticket sales and show attendance.
To-date, it has enjoyed 2 fully sold-out seasons in Kuala Lumpur alone, a fully sold-out 1st season in Singapore and is slated for a comeback in 2008 in both Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. The musical was watched by over 58,000 people and played for a total of 46 performances in Malaysia and Singapore. At the recent Boh Cameronian Arts awards, Puteri Gunung Ledang The Musical swept 8 out of 12 theatre awards which included best director, best script, best set design and audience’s choice.
